EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy used to help individuals process distressing or traumatic experiences that remain “stuck” in the nervous system. Through guided bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, EMDR helps the brain reprocess memories so they feel less emotionally charged. Over time, people often experience reduced distress, new perspectives, and a greater sense of integration and relief.
EMDR can be effective for a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, grief, and phobias. Treatment is carefully paced and collaborative, emphasizing safety, stability, and client choice. Rather than requiring detailed retelling of events, EMDR focuses on helping the mind and body resolve experiences so individuals can move forward with greater ease and resilience.
