Dr. Julie Calderón

Many of Dr. Calderón's patients are navigating life between worlds - through stages of life, languages, identities, or cultures. They tend to be curious and reflective, open to exploring meaning, and appreciate levity along the way.

Sessions with Dr. Calderón are collaborative and responsive, sometimes exploratory and sometimes practical, they can be serious but never solemn. Dr. Calderón believes every mind has its own logic and emotional ecosystem, and she practices accordingly. Dr. Calderón is skilled in providing neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments when it can be helpful to better understand how one thinks, feels, or learns.

Dr. Calderón sees individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan, in English and Spanish. She offers practical strategies when insight is ready for action. Her areas of focus include:

  • adolescents, couples and family relationships

  • maternal and perinatal mental health and the transition to parenthood

  • neurodevelopmental and learning differences, including autism and ADHD for kids and adults

  • trauma, anxiety, and depression

  • psychedelic preparation and integration

Dr. Calderón had a previous career in journalism and international affairs, but ultimately feels most at home as a psychologist helping people understand their purpose, drive, and direction.
